We want to help every child gain critical skills they need for life. We have started with numeracy and developed Trivela FC to help teachers engage and support children in maths.
Trivela Learning is a UK education company based in Hastings. It makes Trivela FC, a football-themed maths practice game for children from Reception to GCSE, used by primary schools and families.
The problem
Early maths failure becomes a lifelong sentence
On average a primary teacher has to teach a class of 30 children, all at different levels; it can be an impossible task. Once a child falls behind on number facts, they can't follow the lesson, stop taking part, and the gap widens, term after term, year after year.

Maths anxiety can take hold as young as six or seven. By that age, many children have already absorbed the idea that you either "have a maths brain" or you don't. Steve Chinn, a leading researcher on dyscalculia, asked teachers at what age enough children are giving up on maths for them to notice. The most common answer was seven.
The result is hard-wired by sixteen. In 2026, 28% of 16-year-olds in England, roughly 176,000 young people, did not achieve a grade 4 pass in GCSE maths. And the cost lasts a lifetime: the last national survey, in 2011, found that around half of working-age adults had the numeracy expected of a primary school child.

Trivela FC
A game world built around football and rewards, where every answer trains a player's career. Children practise at their level, teachers see exactly where support is needed, and nobody sits through a test they aren't ready for.
Launched in October 2025 with a group of schools, Trivela FC has been built alongside children and teachers, so it works in real classrooms from day one.
