Who we are

This website is run by Trivela Learning Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the information described on this page.

For any question about your data, email hello@trivelagame.com.

The game has its own policy

Trivela FC, the game itself, is played at trivelagame.com. Accounts, pupil data and payments are all handled there and are covered by the Trivela FC privacy policy, not this page. When you follow a link from this site to trivelagame.com, that policy applies from the moment you arrive.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies and does not store anything in your browser. That is why you do not see a cookie banner here.

Usage statistics

We use PostHog, an analytics service, to count visits and see which pages and buttons are used. It is set up so that it does not use cookies or browser storage. You are given a random identifier that lasts only until you close or reload the page, so we cannot recognise you on a later visit or follow you to other websites.

For each page you view, the following is recorded:

• the page address and the page that linked you to it
• your browser, device type, operating system and screen size
• your approximate location, such as country and city, worked out from your IP address
• which buttons leading to trivelagame.com or to our email address you click
• how quickly the page loaded

Your IP address is sent with every request your browser makes, as it is on any website. We do not use it to identify you.

We do not record what you type and we do not build a profile of you. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Our legal basis for collecting these statistics is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used so that we can improve it.

Contacting us

The contact form on this site does not send anything to us directly. It opens a new message in your own email app, filled in with what you typed, and nothing is sent until you press send there. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to reply to you.

Who else handles this data

• Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers its pages. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to do so.
• PostHog stores the usage statistics described above, on servers in the European Union.

Fonts and images are served from this website itself, so your browser does not contact any other company when a page loads.

How long we keep it

Usage statistics are kept for up to one year and are then deleted. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or ask us to restrict how we use it. Because the usage statistics are not linked to your name or email address, we will usually be unable to find the records of an individual visitor, but we will always tell you what we can do.

To use any of these rights, email hello@trivelagame.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This website is written for teachers, school leaders and parents. It is not aimed at children and does not ask for any information about them.

Changes to this page

If we change how this website handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
